I realize that I’ve been lacking in the blogging department a lot recently. This is primarily due to travel and my hectic work schedule, coupled with Justus’s exact opposite travel & work schedule. I’ve decided I’m going to start a new mini series of blogs based on some thoughts and ideas I’ve had while listening to my two most recent audio books: The Paleo Manifesto & The Vegetarian Myth. Both books are equally as intriguing and I encourage everyone to take the time to read them, regardless of dietary preference.
As far as goings on at the farm, the goose eggs are still doing well. The pigs are growing like weeds. We’ve got a TON of young rabbits to evaluate and either send to their new homes or send to freezer camp. We also acquired a very nice new buck from Amir Softic of Carrot Gardens in NY. He’s a nice junior buck who won BOSB (Best Opposite Sex of Breed) at the show he was entered in last weekend. Chickens and quail are doing well, and so are the dogs. Everything is settling into the warm lull of summer.
